You might have the best equipment to play the game, but do you have the winning edge-strength, endurance, flexibility, speed and confidence?

Our athletic enhancement training programs are for nearly every kind of athlete, for nearly every kind of sport. 

All of the Frappier Acceleration Programs are tailored to fit the individual athlete’s abilities and can be customized. Every participant will receive personalized attention from our professional staff during each workout session.

 

Our staff are degreed (B.S. and M.S.) in fields such as Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology; played at the collegiate level or above; and are certified Acceleration Trainers in the areas of exercise science, bio-mechanics, plyometrics, warm-ups, strength, flexibility, nutrition, and the unique protocols and equipment of the Acceleration program.

ADVENTURE SPORTS

The Adventure Sports Program at Acceleration Indiana is designed to keep the outdoor enthusiast on the trails and off the couch. With programs developed for hiking, backpacking, hunting, trail running, triathalons, and anything else you could imagine that involves trees, rocks, and boots the Adventure Sports Program can help you achieve your adventure goals. Our simple passion behind the Adventure Sports Program is… Dream it. Train it. Live it.

As demonstrated by Doug Harty, you will train on our patented highspeed treadmill climbing those hills with your backpack in tow.  Then for the trip back down the hill we can decline the treadmill to prepare you for that always difficult trip back home.

BMX

Training for a BMX race is not just pedaling a bike around the hills of the dirt track!  With a combination of cord resistance training on a stationary bike, plyometric training, and running on our patented highspeed treadmill, you too can become a BMX champion just like “Mad” Max Burhenn!

Basketball

In the game of basketball; speed, power, vertical, quickness, change of direction, stamina and control are essential components for gaining an edge over your competitors. Developing those components of athleticism has been our mission since 1994, with outstanding results. We have helped numerous basketball athletes achieve their goals increase their confidence and receive recognition such as: increased playing time; becoming a starter; winning a championship, becoming the leading scorer; receiving a college scholarship.

Prevention

Injury prevention is another objective of our training. Non-contact ACL tears are a common injury for basketball players. They are particularly common for females who are 4 to 6 times more likely to experience a tear than their male counterparts. Proper strengthening of the lower extremity musculature with our Acceleration training program has been shown to reduce injury rates significantly (more than a factor of 2) versus conventional pre-season team training.

Speed: forward, backward, lateral

A key component of our training programs is our proprietary Super Treadmill that goes to 28 mph and 40% grade. This specialized equipment allows us to train for fast break acceleration and maximize sprint speed but also backward sprint ability and lateral (defensive slide) quickness! One on One instruction ensures learning the correct biomechanics for each of these movements.

Most athletes can expect to reduce their forty time .2 sec and increase maximum sprint speed 2 to 3 mph. We know speed is important but how significant is an increase in maximum sprint speed of 2mph? Very important! In a 3 sec. sprint the 2mph faster athlete would achieve a separation of 8 to 10 ft over the slower athlete.Now that’s an unfair advantage!

Jumping / Explosiveness

We incorporate a proprietary jump protocol using our unique plyo press equipment to achieve significant improvements in jump height (2 to 5 inches) in 6 to 8 weeks.  But we also train your muscles eccentrically for deceleration and quick change of direction.

Our proprietary equipment allows us to correct any right to left leg deficiencies and improve your lower extremity power and rate of power development for jumping and acceleration and deceleration by 20-50%.

Stamina

Equally important is the ability to maintain your speed and quickness for the entire game. The Super Treadmill provides an optimum training environment to stress and develop the body’s anaerobic energy systems. Our research based protocols result in major improvements in anaerobic power and stamina to maintain top performance in that all important fourth quarter.

Agility

The ability to move multi- directionally, quickly, with balance and coordination is a key parameter to creating separation between you and your opponent. Our special plyometric and core strength programs improve your ability to change direction rapidly with control. Typical improvements are 20% to 40% in multi-directional movement drills.

Shooting, Passing, Dribbling

Finally a science based method to significantly improve your shooting range and percentage in 6 weeks (Two sessions/week). Train with our patented power cords and unique training protocol to improve your shooting range up to 6ft. andpercentage up to 25%.

Distance Running

This fall is a great time to prepare for the winter and spring track seasons. Develop your running mechanics and speed at Acceleration Indiana. Besides the running events we can also assist the field event athletes with our patented power cords and jumping programs. Football

Football players from youth to the professional have benefited from our science based programs. Over 20 years of research and development in biomechanics, exercise physiology, unique training protocols (over 2000) and proprietary training equipment (6 patents), back up our programs. We have the tools and professional staff to help you become the best that you can be.

Train like a Pro

One of our early athletes was Mike Alstott, who came to us right after his record setting year (yards rushing) at Purdue University. He said that he wanted to get quicker and faster in preparation for the NFL combine in Indy, to enhance his chances of going higher in the draft.  His goal was to be drafted in the second round but to achieve that he had to improve his 40 yard time or likely go in the third round. Mike went through our pro-football program, which combined with his outstanding work ethic, produced the results that he was looking for, as he went second in the second round. The Indy Star had this to say, Mike Alstott’s stock is rising faster than the stock market, when he ran a 4.64 in the forty. Expectation had been that he would run in the high 4.8s. Mike went on to have an outstanding career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, winning the Super Bowl also playing a number of great years underTony Dungy, and finally retired.

Speed

Each session on the Super Treadmill includes a series of sprints at various elevations and speeds designed to develop more power in the lower extremity muscles. These training protocols result in velocity specific strength gains that generate more force to the ground for greater acceleration and speed. Most athletes can expect to reduce their forty time 0.2 sec.

Explosiveness

Every player desires to be more explosive off the line or in their first three or four strides. We incorporate special explosive training elements to ensure you are quicker. Athletes may be able to leg press close to the same on each leg but when tested at speed, the difference in power and rate of power development can be significant and limit the athlete’s ability to perform on the field. Our proprietary equipment allows us to tailor our program to your individual needs.

Passing, Punting, Kicking

We also offer programs to improve your throwing and kicking distances. You will train with our patented cords that allow us to load your muscles at game type velocities to improve your velocity (4 to 8 mph), distance (8 to 15 yds) and accuracy.
